Heating

What is the most effective why you have found to heat your appartment? I have an old kerosine heater, but refilling the tank is a pain, and it stinks!

  • Use electric carpet!! I have been using it for a long time and I cannot live without it!

  • Kerosene has to be the worst way. We use a combination of a gas stove in the morning to take the edge off the cold, and the electric aircon heater for the rest of the day. The gas will also start to smell after a few hours and will burn the oxygen out of the air as well, but I think the electric costs more and takes more time to heat our place.

  • Gas heaters are the cleanest and most efficient form of heating. However, you need to have a gas connection in your apartment / house for this.
